This March, Condé Nast Traveller has partnered with Louis Roederer to mark the first Chef’s World Series event of 2025, inviting readers to an evening of tasting exquisite Champagnes alongside perfectly paired Japanese dishes. Following a glamorous Mayfair bash last October, the coveted event returns on Wednesday 26 March 2025 with a fresh new London location, hosted by Chelsea’s Beaverbrook Town House at their in-house restaurant, The Fuji Grill.

As one of only a handful of Champagne houses which remain independent and family-run, Louis Roederer retains its legacy as the French pioneering force for all things Champagne. Their refined selection of vintage bubblies is built on a wine-making expertise which spans across two centuries, with the crown jewel in their portfolio, Cristal, famously first created for Tsar Alexander II in 1876.

Louis Roederer’s Champagnes truly awaken the palate to the priceless flair of a generational craft, yet their wineries are far from stuck in the nostalgia of bygone days. Cherished trade secrets have been repurposed into forward-thinking, eco-friendly practices, such as soil regeneration and biodiversity analysis, preserving the spirit of the ‘hand in hand with nature’ approach which lies at the heart of their vineyards.

It is fitting then that ‘A Taste of Louis Roederer’ takes place at a restaurant rooted in both tradition and innovation, as The Fuji Grill brings the highest-quality, authentic flavours of beloved Japanese cuisine to one of London’s swankiest neighbourhoods. Ingredients are locally sourced, some even grown in the Beaverbrook estate kitchen garden, and the curated tasting menu on offer at the Chef’s World Series event acts as a glimpse into their 12-course omakase experience.

A smart urban offshoot of Beaverbrook Surrey, the hotel itself is conveniently located on Sloane Street, the pinnacle of London’s luxury shopping district. Attendees can extend their evening fun by booking into Beaverbrook Town House for an intimate overnight affair, with a modest total of 14 sumptuous bedrooms, suites and exclusive floors to choose from across its two restored Georgian townhouses.
