Toyo is a logophile and culinary enthusiast from London. She studied Law at Oxford and went on to work as a lawyer. Toyo enjoys exploring the complexities of the human experience through the lens of a woman inspired by Nigerian and British cultures. Having enjoyed writing as a child, she has recently found a renewed curiosity in storytelling after winning a Tate Collective Open Call Writing and Art in 2021. Her writing includes contributions to indie food zine Potluck and a shortlisted entry to the Scottish Arts Trust Flash Fiction Awards.
